FOR ALL – A Discussion on Voting Rights
March 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
“The vote is precious. It is the most powerful, non-violent tool we have in a democratic society.” – John Lewis
You’re invited to the launch of the League of Women Voters – Houston’s new discussion series – For All! During the first virtual event, you’ll hear from voting rights experts and have the opportunity to ask questions. We’ll also share calls to action and ways to get more involved with LWV-Houston.
Voting rights for Texans are on the line this legislative session with several pieces of proposed legislation seeking to turn back the clock on elections that are accessible, free and fair for all. The League of Women Voters of Texas and our local League have made voting rights and election laws a priority issue for 2021, and we want to ensure that our community understands the stakes, positions and advocacy opportunities to protect democracy at all levels.
